Boris to scrap congestion charge?

17 December, 2008

Boris Johnson is considering scrapping the congestion charge according to the website Boriswatch. If Boris decided to do this it would be huge. The problems of congestion would get significantly worse. Journey times up, pollution up, disease up, NHS costs up, but the toll is not limited to this. Gone is any pretence that the conservative’s give a stuff for people’s health or the environment or the remotest coherence in the London Mayor’s transport policy.

I’d also like to give a plug to Adam Bienkov at Tory Troll as well. Both these blogs are essential reading for anyone who wants to know what is going on amist the chaos of the Boris mayoralty.
